Double Shot Covent Garden

Where Healthy Meets Delicious

Wow! This beautifully spooky Halloween special was almost too pretty to eat – but you can’t stop a toddler who has spotted a brownie!

The ‘Bewitched Brownie’ is accompanied with warm custard, mango cubes and pomegranate, 70% Callebaut chocolate, salted caramel ice cream, and the most adorable edible broom!

Along with this special, the menu includes an array of delightful food to choose from. This is must visit if you are in Covent Garden.

Pizza Pilgrims

Neapolitan pizza in central London

Not just a margherita pizza option for children at Pizza Pilgrims. Kids can choose any pizza topping on the menu and it arrives as a kiddy friendly size!

We ordered a roasted Italian sausage, broccoletti & smoked mozzarella pizza. Too big to finish, but she had room for ice cream (interesting!). We took the leftovers home – so she got two meals out of one!

Dessert was delicious! Again to big to finish for a little tummy, good job I have a big one to help out… the dough is stuffed with Nutella!

Patrycja and her team are lovely and welcoming and we got a sneak peak into the kitchen where the magic happens!

Din Tai Fung

A taste of Taiwan in London

Din Tai Fung delivers the most exquisite Taiwanese food. Every item arriving at our table was presented beautifully, after being delicately created in the kitchen. Chefs work away behind glass walls so you can watch the food being impeccably produced.

Favourites of mine were the Vegan Xiao Long Bao, the Pork and Vegetable Wontons with Black Vinegar & Chilli Oil and the Chilli Crab & Pork Buns.

The staff are extremely friendly and attentive, they even provide kiddy friendly cups, bowls and cutlery for the little ones.

This restaurant is a MUST visit when in town.

Cafe Pacifico

A taste of Mexico in London

For some mexican vibes, Cafe Pacifico is perfect for a family meal out. Its colourful, large interior means there’s plenty of room to dine.

Those of you who know the area well will remember the sister branch, La Perla on Maiden Lane which was run by the awesome Freddy and Blake. I’d be there every week enjoying the best Amaretto Sours in London! Above the bar were boards decorated with the names of those who necked a glass of the super-premium Jose Cuervo Colección 1800 for £125 a shot. These boards were saved once La Perla closed and now hang proudly in Cafe Pacifico – I’m pleased to see my is name still up there!

Fancy a quesadilla or taco? Then head over to Cafe Pacifico.
