Covent Garden Mum Christmas Calendar

Throughout December you can bag yourself some wonderful ‘Christmas Gifts’ from some of Covent Gardens most popular shops, restaurants and pubs.

Winter Warmer Mulled Wine

Festive pop-ups will be serving unique takes on mulled wine for you to enjoy!

There will be over 25 varieties to choose from, served in some of Covent Garden’s most-loved bars and restaurants.

Christmas Village

The new Covent Garden Christmas Village will open its doors with a snowy traditional winter town popping up including a Christmas tree forest featuring eight luxury bauble themed dining domes, festive food market, a winter forest archway and Santa’s sleigh which will be the festive photo spot of the year!

Frozen the Musical Piazza Takeover!

You can immerse yourself in the Frozen Forest on the North Piazza! Christmas trees dressed with snow, ice and Frozen decorations will be dusted with daily flurries of snow every hour from midday until 7pm, accompanied by an instrumental rendition of Let It Go.

Can’t rely on the British weather to provide snow? Covent Garden has you covered – literally – in the white stuff!

Snowfall will cover the Piazza daily, on the hour ever hour from midday – 7pm in front of the beautiful Christmas tree.

Christmas Market in Leicester Square

The Christmas market returns with stalls selling festive treats and delicious food & drinks.

PLUS! Get ready for some family fun in the Leicester Square Spiegeltent where you can enjoy: Baby Loves Disco, Comedy Club 4 Kids, Sleeping Beauty, The Bubble Show, Tom Brace Magic: Embrace the Impossible.

Covent Garden Community Association Carol Service

St Paul’s Church is delighted to welcome all back CGCA for their annual Carol Concert. St Paul’s Choir will perform some traditional Christmas carols as well as readings from the local community.

Covent Garden Community and Visitors come together with the help of CAPCO and local businesses to present an annual carol concert.

Be Enchanted at The Yards

This festive season, experience The Yards in all its festive glory, as our urban oasis transforms for Christmas. Come and discover enchanting installations dotted across The Yards, and join us on Thursday evenings from 25th November until 9th December for live entertainment, complimentary refreshments and chances to win amazing prizes.

Christmas Sandwich Festival

Famous Covent Garden eateries have been challenged to create new takes on the classic Christmas sarnie. You can look forward to trying The Smokey Gaucho, Mr Pig Stuff and The Cheese Toaster!

Throughout the festival, guests will be able to choose from over 15 Christmas sandwiches, from classic fillings of turkey and cranberry, wacky fillings of brussel sprout stuffing and the finest of fillings including truffle.

Comedy Bloomers is a hilarious monthly comedy showcase for LGBTQ+ acts and more in London.

It is also the home of LGBTQ+ New Comedian of the Year competition.

Wizarding World Wands!

Calling all Harry Potter fans! Leicester Square is set to showcase a collection of giant Wizarding World Wands to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, the film first premiered in Leicester Square in 2001.

The wands will be lit between 6pm and 8:30pm daily.

London Cocktail Week Month

Yes that’s right, a whole month of cocktails! Covent Garden will be the hub of LCW with not only its main bar in Essence House on Floral street (all cocktails £7, mocktails £5), but also plenty of bars in and around the area offering signature cocktails.

To guarantee a fixed price of £7 per cocktail and £5 per mocktail in ALL participating venues, you can opt in for a wrist band for just £15 which lasts the whole month.

Essence is free to enter, for 18+ only and open 12pm – 11pm Tuesday – Sunday.

Halloween Pumpkin Market

Returning to the Apple Market this October is the stunningly autumnal pumpkin display which will feature over two hundred pumpkins, squashes and gourds available to purchase in various shapes and sizes!

Soho Night Market!

Head over to Rupert street for an evening of delicious food and drinks from around the world accompanied by live music at the first ever International Food Festival at Rupert Street Market.

BFI London Film Festival

For those who still can’t be there in person, this year’s LFF is putting some of its best titles online. However, if you can get there in person, the selection of films on offer this year is super exciting.

And its not just for adults! The LFF has a Families Programme full of films suitable for all ages of children.

Chila Burman Covent Garden takeover

‘Do you see words in Rainbows?’

This new immersive art installation is super dazzling. Whilst it best seen at night, the neon lights are vibrant enough to see during the day. Head over to the Market Building in the Piazza.

The installation will also offer support to the LGBTQI+ community. Simply share your photos and add #CoventGardenInRainbows and £1 will be donated to the Albert Kennedy Trust, a youth homelessness charity.

Summer Box Office

Pull up a deckchair and enjoy the free screenings at The Yards this summer!

The schedule includes live sports and feature films, plus exclusive film screenings with London Film School.

Each Friday and Sunday in August they will also be showing family friendly films.

Summer Market Hunt

Summer has officially arrived so come and enjoy a free market hunt in the Jubilee Market, Covent Garden. Look high and low around the market for key objects and say hello to the fantastic traders as you go!

ROH Unlocked

The Royal Opera House are hosting a free festival for all the family! This summer you can see free performances, take part in dance workshops and adventure through Covent Garden to find selected windows showcasing amazing costumes and displays.

The theatrical trail takes you to key landmarks around Covent Garden associated with the Royal Opera House and theatrical creative life.
