Looking for a chilled coffee spot, or a place to let your hair down? I’ve listed details below for drinking in and around Covent Garden with – or without – your mini me. Looking for something specific not listed here? Send me a message and I can help answer your questions.
Lady of the Grapes
Exquisite organic and natural wines

Carole always keeps a bottle of wine chilled for special occasions, you know, like Tuesday!
Lady of the Grapes offers a selection of organic wine from female led vineyards, as well as enjoying some french tapas or sharing platters created by Elliott Buchet.
It’s such a lovely spot on Maiden Lane, which is now closed to traffic throughout the day leaving you to enjoy the Parisian vibes as the sun sets.

Maple Leaf
London’s only Canadian pub
For years the Maple Leaf, London’s only Canadian pub, has been firmly on the Covent Garden map.
I spent many evenings there in my student days, especially on ‘Chicken Wing Tuesdays’ having an absolute blast!
If you are a fan of sport, this is the place to be! You’ll not only be served up a great helping of international sports, but also Canadian inspired food and drink.
Keep your eyes peeled for a fun thanksgiving announcement which the kids will love…

Family meal? Date night? Either work at The Alchemist – an all day dining and cocktail bar set in the heart of London.
The child’s menu, or aptly named ‘Apprentice’s Notebook’ comes with an array of puzzles for your mini me to get their crayons into!
I enjoyed a child friendly cocktail called Bubblygum! Of course you can always opt for the adult friendly version should the occasion suit.

Notes
Coffee Roasters and Wine Bar

For a delicious brunch, head over to Notes. My daughter tucked into scrambled eggs on toast with orange juice, it’s always a good sign when there is hardly any food on the floor when she’s finished!
The space is large and bright with an awesome chandelier made from desk lamps. As you sit and look up through the skylight, you can see the London Coliseum theatre’s rotating globe against the blue sky. The whole interior has a warm, relaxing vibe, and there are now additional seats outside.
I would definitely recommend this family friendly coffee shop if you are in the area for a delicious bite to eat and an array of drinks from coffee to cocktails to choose from.
